Preparation and Training
To assist you in your application for HLTA training and assessment, the East Midlands Local Authorities have designed a TRAINING NEEDS ANALYSIS (TNA) for you to complete. This is hosted on the University of Northampton web site.
When you have completed the TNA you should send this along with your application for funding to your named Local Authority contact.
Once you have been allocated funding by your Local Authority to undergo HLTA Preparation for Assessment, or Training towards HLTA status, they will give you details of Preparation and Training courses available in your area.
The consortium members are able to provide the 3 Day Preparation for Assessment and the Modular Training that you may need to complement your experience to enable you to meet the HLTA Standards.
Currently there are 3 Providers of Preparation of Assessment in the East Midlands - these are: The University of Northampton, EM Direct and SYTAC. In addition they can provide the modular training that you may need to complement your experience in order to enable you to meet the HLTA standards.
